Meet Ronny North!

Ronny North plays his own signature brand of instrumental guitar rock and is fast becoming a So Cal guitar hero. 2006 was a busy year highlighted by his win in November of the Best Male Guitarist Award at the 2006 All Access Magazine Music Awards, after which, Ronny was featured in a cool interview in All Access Magazine to talk about the win. He did a ton of radio interviews on VM Underground radio, Maximum Threshold Radio, The Prime Spot Radio Show and the Billy Mo Radio show to name a few. He has appeared in several national and international music publications and has been featured in ad campaigns and catalogs for his various sponsors. MTV licensed Ronny’s music from his last CD GOING PSYKO for their "Real World" reality TV program. The song "Race with Me" is featured on the Morley Compilation CD that is available free at all authorized Morley dealers or from www.morleypedals.com. Ronny is featured in an on-going ad campaign for Guitar Wheel that is currently running in Guitar Player Magazine and he is in the ads for Mills Acoustics Speaker Cabinets and Minarik Guitars. He’ll also be featured in a few other ads for some more of his sponsors in the coming year. Ronny kicked off 2007 by performing on January 4th at the Best Buy/Minarik Guitars Showcase. He then played at Winter NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) from January 18th through January 21st, where he performed daily at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, for many of his endorsers. On top of playing demos at the convention, he headlined the Mills Acoustics NAMM Showcase on January 18th. He was also featured in the February 26, 2007 Issue of Music Connection Magazine.
On March 9th, Ronny started a series of guitar clinics at various Guitar Center locations. If that wasn’t enough, that same month Ronny was featured in Guitar Player Magazine where GP magazine head editor Michael Molenda said some very complimentary things about Ronny’s playing. In May 2007, his DISCONNECTED CD was released and Ronny played a highly successful guitar clinic at Verde Valley Music in Cottonwood, Arizona. He was featured in a full page article in their local paper, the Verde Valley Independent, that included several pictures that were shot in Jerome, Arizona. In June, he will be performing for the sixth year in a row at the Special Olympics Summer Games. Later in the summer, Ronny will be playing shows all over on his "DISCONNECTED in AMERICA" Tour. He will be featured on the upcoming Avalon World Tour’s Bands of the World TV Show. The show will feature bands that are flown in from Europe to compete with each other for tons of cool prizes and a possible recording contract. Ronny will be hanging out with the bands on the show as well as offering his advice. The show will end with a big Concert in San Diego that Ronny will be headlining. He will also be doing some guitar clinics at Sam Ash Music Stores and at Tone Merchants Music store (to name a couple) in the summer of 2007. Ronny has a few signature products coming out as well. The first of which will be the PSYKO Drive Distortion/Overdrive pedal coming out by AMT Electronics. Ronny has received extensive press, airplay, has sold many CD’s throughout the U.S., Europe, and Japan, and regularly opens up for national acts. Ronny has been a judge for Guitar Center's Guitarmageddon Competition for the last 3 years. He is regularly sought out from music equipment manufacturers for his input on the development of new products. He writes a very popular monthly column for GuitarJamDaily.com called "Adventures in Guitar with Ronny North". He also has a philanthropic side: he has performed at the Special Olympics Summer Games for the last six years and has played events for Toys for Tots and the Troops; and he has performed at several benefits for Tsunami Relief and musicians in need.
